Our DELICIOUS Idea!

 In our small town in West Virginia, I have to admit, There isn't much to do. Not much excitement and almost nothing changes. It was a safe place to raise our kids, somewhere we knew they could grow up without danger. Sadly, We find it can also be a bit behind with the times. It can be hard to find the "new and exciting" items of the year. It's annoying, but we have managed. As a unit, We don't bring in a lot of money truthfully. So, To not have the "new and exciting" pushed in my face is helpful, since they usually come with a cost that is also exciting, but not in a good way. 

 This can create a sort of jealousy, in a way. Sometimes you want different. sometimes you want the option, without the price tag that brings you to halt. Even with something simple, like a new flavor of snack, it was impossible to try something new without a high cost, or a lot of looking around to find it. And, with kids, snacks are inevitable. Being as I also enjoy my fair share of sweetness, we always had options. But, it seemed like it was the same options over and over again. We just wanted something different from time to time.

 So, I started digging around to see what I could find. It was pretty simple, All kinds of snacks were out there! But, Between cost and quantity, I just couldn't afford it. I'm not crazy to admit, I just don't like spending money on silly things. And, To pay an arm just buy a case of a snack to TRY, without knowing if we would like it enough to finish seemed silly to me. So, we kept on with what we knew.

 Then, Something new happened! These subscription boxes took hold of the world! Different snacks, different flavors, different countries! It seemed perfect! Giving families a chance to try new things from around the world, to see what we have been missing out on. I logged on immediately to check them out. I looked and looked, But it seemed so far out of reach. I have nothing bad to say about these companies. What they do and how they do it is great! But, for someone like me. The more paycheck to paycheck type, We just couldn't afford it. So, I informed the family that we just couldn't risk getting into a subscription with these other guys. It was a bit of a sad day. Everyone else was doing it, Why couldn't we try too?

 Now, At this point, I should mention that i'm a bit of a business type. No, Not suit and tie, well groomed and fancy. I mean, I've always wanted to own my own business. Something for my family, and myself. Something that was ours and we could eventually live off of and pass down to the kids. Something where I could manage my time my own way, be there for all the important things and not have some "manager" who has never done the job tell me i'm doing it wrong. That was the dream. And, after a few years, I started having this idea.

 "What if WE owned the company?" "What if instead of a blind box, you could PICK what your family gets?"

So, I started digging again. This time, To see at what prices I could buy small quantities, where I could get it from, how long it would take to start and how to do all the paperwork. I excitedly woke up one morning, informed my family of the idea and my oldest daughter jumped right on board. After some back and forth with my wife, we decided to wait a little while to make sure it was a good idea and not just excitement telling me to do it. In the meantime, I planned and planned, crunched all the numbers and it all started to work out.

 That idea turned into what you see here today. A small, Low quantity dealer of snacks from all around the world! Things you have heard of, things you haven't, and flavors you never knew existed. It was a passing idea, into a dream come true. While we aren't getting rich off the idea, and it currently isn't our main source of income, it gives us enough freedom that we can try new snacks without hesitating about the cost. That's why we do what we do.

 We believe all families should have the ability to buy something new here and there. Even just to TRY it. We keep our prices low, and only carry small quantities of each item so that we can move on and try the next new thing. Instead of a subscription, We allow you to pick and choose what YOU think your family would like. That way, there is less chance of throwing things out.
